Lauren (Schulte) Remspecher, MPH, CHES, is senior director, member engagement & communications for the St. Louis Area Business Health Coalition (BHC), a non-profit collaborative supporting 60 leading St. Louis employers in their efforts to improve the well-being of enrollees and enhance the quality and overall value of investments in health benefits. In this role, Lauren works directly with wellness coordinators and human resource managers to provide research and resource support for the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of workplace well-being programs. In addition to facilitating a number of educational and networking events, she is responsible for the development and administration of wellness products and services for the coalition's employer members, including employee health education campaigns, environmental culture audits, flu shot group purchasing, health fair engagement tools, and professional certifications and trainings. Through her work with the BHC, Lauren also serves on the leadership and planning committees for several community initiatives, including the Antibiotic Resistance Can Harm (ARCH) Program and the American Heart Association’s annual St. Louis Workplace Wellness Forum. As co-chair of the Worksite Wellness Subcommittee for the St. Louis Partnership for a Healthy Community, Lauren guides collaborative efforts among health systems, community agencies, universities, and government stakeholders to improve employer access to local and national evidence-based tools for workplace well-being programs. Lauren received her master of public health degree in behavioral science and health education from Saint Louis University and her bachelor of health science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is also a certified health education specialist through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, a faculty member of the Wellness Council of America, and a certified trainer for the CDC’s Work@Health program.
