Rebecca Kelly, PhD, RDN, FAND, is president and founder of Element Health, Inc., and associated faculty, honors college at The University of Alabama. As an educator, administrator, leader, and consultant on building and sustaining healthy workforces, she has over 25 years of hands-on experience in health and wellness program strategy, communication campaigns, innovative program development, and program evaluation. Rebecca is a registered dietitian and exercise physiologist, and has served as a certified diabetes educator for ten years. She has served in number roles at The University of Alabama (UA) to include the first ever Director of Health Promotion and Wellness, Director of Health Enhancement Planning and Assistant Professor. Prior to joining UA, Rebecca led a nationally recognized health and wellness program for American Cast Iron Pipe Company, a recipient of the 2014 C. Everett Koop Award. Rebecca received the first-ever Heart of HERO Award, recognizing an individual who is directly involved in the day-to-day operations of employee health and its direct impact on program outcomes. Rebecca completed her PhD and MAE at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed her dietetic internship at Indiana University Medical Center and received a BS in nutrition and food science graduating with highest honors from Auburn University. Rebecca is also a fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
