As VP of Total Rewards, Kathy Makowski leads the health & welfare, retirement and associate well-being programs at SCL Health, a non-profit Catholic health system with 17,000 associates located throughout Colorado and Montana. With over 25 years of progressive experience in the employee benefits / insurance market, Kathy’s specialties include healthcare and wellness strategy, associate communications and HR systems and operations. Kathy earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Kathy is a Colorado native and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and cooking.
